The Ballad of Molly Malone is issue #1701 of the Wild Musette Journal. In this anthology of stories and poems you'll find céilidhs, Green Men, steampunk dragons, lost instruments, and the struggle to hear the essence of music. This issue features work from our amazing contributors in Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Australia, and the US.
The title for this anthology comes from a poem by contributor Shannon Connor Winward. "The Ballad of Molly Malone" is a well-known Irish pub song about a young woman who sells cockles and mussels from her street cart. Winward's reinterpretation of the song adds detail to the story, and takes it in a much darker direction.
